In recognition of the importance of wholesome Christian Family Life to the Community, the objectives for which the Commission is established are:-

a)     To advise and assist the Archbishop in all matters regarding Catholic Family Life.

b)     To make recommendations for the enrichment of Catholic Family Life.

c)      To initiate and share in the implementation of Family Life programs, and the establishing of Family Life Committees in each parish of the Archdiocese.

d)     To offer recommendations and to act in a supervisory capacity with respect to the setting up and proper functioning of family life programs in the Archdiocese of Kingston.

e)     To offer advice and assistance to any organisation of the Catholic Church concerning the Church's teaching on family life.

f)        To receive and consider information on family life to be disseminated through Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of Kingston.

g)     As far as possible, to collaborate with and assist the Dioceses of Montego Bay and Mandeville in all matters pertaining to Catholic Family Life.
